QUICK LINK: Vibe Alive FAQ
The national Vibe Alive festival is back in 2012 after a successful 2011 season where more than 10,000 young Australians experienced that special ‘vibe’ of a major youth festival.
Vibe Alive is a fun, two day festival for young Australians of all backgrounds that celebrates Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures.
It’s two days of extreme fun with dancing, rapping, singing, painting and sport. Our aim is to give young people a chance to express themselves and show their school, their family and their community what they’re good at.
Vibe Alive gives everyone a chance to shine, because all young people have different talents and abilities. Some are good at sport, some can belt out an awesome song, and some have talents they never even knew existed!
As part of a team, young people get the opportunity to compete in a whole bunch of challenges and win cool prizes. They’ll also find out about awesome career choices, meet some inspiring celebrity role models and learn a few important things about how to lead a healthy lifestyle.
Oh, and it’s the perfect chance to catch up with old mates or make some new ones!
So how can you get involved with Vibe Alive in 2012? Vibe Alive is a competition for students between Year 4 (in Queensland) and Year 5 (WA & Vic) through to Year 12, who compete in teams of 8-12 students for the most points over the two day festival.
Teams compete in a range of activities that test their skills, knowledge, teamwork and stamina to see just who will win the State Vibe Alive cup!
