Vibe Alive is a two-day festival for young fellas who like to dance,
break, rap, sing, paint and play sport. There’ll even be time to chill
and just enjoy the music. Vibe Alive is a chance for you to express yourself and show your school, your family and your community what you’re good at. As part of a team, you’ll get the opportunity to compete in a whole bunch of challenges and win cool prizes. You’ll also find out about awesome career choices, meet some celebrities and learn a few important things about your health.
Vibe Alive is about celebrating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and being a proud Aussie. Oh, and it’s the perfect chance to catch up with the mob and make some new mates!

The National Indigenous 3on3 Basketball and Hip Hop Challenge – the Vibe
3on3® – is a traveling sport and music festival that brings together
Indigenous and non-Indigenous people for a fun weekend of basketball,
dancing and music. The event encourages sportsmanship, teaches new
skills and builds self-esteem, as well as promoting reconciliation at a
grassroots level.
Hosted by former Harlem Globetrotter Dwayne Cross and Aboriginal basketball star Claude Williams, the action-packed weekend features a 3on3 basketball round-robin, rapping and break dancing lessons, art workshops, a dance competition and a health expo, all accompanied by a backing track of the latest RnB, hip hop and Indigenous music.
The Vibe 3on3® crew also features Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander break dance champions, hip hop artists and dancers and celebrity role models.

Since 1995, Vibe Australia has hosted the National Aboriginal and
Torres Strait Islander Music, Sport, Entertainment and Community Awards
(aka the 'Deadlys'). Promoting Aboriginal and Torres Strait
Islander achievement as a marketable and growing force within Australia,
the Deadlys provide a tangible forum by which the wider community can
learn about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander music and culture.Beginning
at Boomalli Artist Co-op in Redfern in 1995, the Deadlys has since been
staged at the Metro in Sydney, the Dendy Bar at Martin Place, the Hard
Rock Café, Darlinghurst, home Nightclub, Cockle Bay Wharf, Darling
Harbour, cityLIVE, Fox Studios and most recently, the Sydney Opera
House.
